| Zululand Career Centre | ||
|
The Zululand
Career Centre, formerly a project of the Zululand Chamber of
Business Foundation (ZCBF), was established in the mid 1990s with
the aim of providing much needed career guidance and career
counseling services to the under-resourced schools of Zululand.
With the support of industry in the area the Centre has grown
exponentially and is now visited annually by some 25 000 scholars.
In 2006,
Umfolozi College entered into a partnership with the ZCBF whereby
the College took over the management of the centre, which is made up
of a collection of interactive exhibits that encourage scholars to
explore potential careers in a hands-on way. In addition to
extensive career assessment and counseling services, the centre
boasts a leadership adventure course and hosts leadership and other
workshops with schools. |
